RARE 2 PETERSON GALWAY: (606S/POT+268/ZULU)N. MINT (1970s) Irish Estate Pipes. Galway is an old and discontinued Peterson series. Its characteristic is the smoothness of the pipes with a color close to the original briar color. Both these pipes must have been made some time in the 1970s, perhaps even in the 1960s (see in the last 2 photos the oxidation accumulated on their stems before they were cleaned).

A very large straight pot (bowl similar in size to Dunhill's ODA) with very beautiful saddle p-lip stem. And a zulu with medium size bowl (similar in size to Dunhill's Group 3).

Both pipes have quite clear grains and are in near mint condition. Very little ware from use, they have been smoked a little and lightly. The pot has approximate length 142 mm (5.59"), bowl height 45 mm (1.77"), chamber depth 37 mm (1.46"), chamber diameter 20 mm (0.79") and weighs 47 gr (1.66 oz). The zulu has approximate diagonal length 152 mm (5.98"), bowl height 42 mm (1.65"), chamber depth 38 mm (1.50"), chamber diameter 17 mm (0.67") and weighs 30 gr (1.06 oz). Both pipes do not take filters and have original, p-lip, vulcanite stems.
