Fine binding in full black morocco, with ornate gilt-tooled original covers and later spine in six panels offset by raised bands and original gilt panels laid down. Covers firmly attached; headcaps intact.

Polished gilt metal gallery around each cover edge. 18 full page finely engraved plates with extensive in-text illustrations throughout. Covers have wear with some loss of gilt.
