Gilt pages edges, and floral endpapers. ALMOST EVERY PAGE IS ILLUSTRATED! Plus a fold out colored map. I could almost call it a tour guide because it goes into such great detail of all the places, but it's also a history book. Or just about everything, Ireland had to offer back then.

Includes: homes, castles, libraries, colleges, bridges, natural wonders, granges, Obelisk, relics, mountains, cliffs, lakes, towers. Churches, religion, a few famous people, and MUCH MUCH MORE! Cities /areas include: Dublin, Cork, Glengariff, Killarney, Valentia, the Shannon, Connemara, Donegal highlands, Belfast, Armagh, Londonderry, the Giant's Causeway, and the Mourne Mts. Photos carefully as they are part of the description. All of my books are VERY OLD and have 100+ years of wear to varying degrees.

Boards - very secure, back cover is as clean as the front - covers are dark green - last picture truest color / back cover has a small bubble lower tip area. They both look very good but I think they may have had some repair /gluing at one point - it's hard to tell, if so they did a very nice job. Spine ends - some wear. Very good / some very light wear. Inner hinges - very good / some light wear to rear. Pages - generally pretty clean but some sporadic light spots /. Tissue for the frontis is missing.

Writing - very old prize inscription on the back of the frontis, which you can kind of see from the frontis side - top left area [used dark black pen]. Rips /folds - other than the inner edge of the fold out map.

No rips or folds that I saw. Gilt pages edges still quite bright. PLEASE ADD ME TO YOU "SELLERS YOU FOLLOW" LIST. AND check back now and then to see what's new!

And remember -this book is very old and may have accumulated bad smells along the way [musty basement/ mildew/ smoke] - I have found that dryer sheets in them for a few months makes a world of difference! As far as I can tell -this book has no bad smell.
