THEGORDON BENNETT TROPHY ROAD RACE - IRELAND - 1903. Offered here is a unique and very attractive Trophy Road Race Award Motoring and Travelling Vanity Case, a Competitor's Award from the Gordon Bennett Trophy Road Race, held on the Athy Circuit of Ireland, on July 2nd 1903. The locations were County Carlow, County Kildare, and Queen's County.

The GB Trophy Road Race consisted of seven laps, with a total of 527 km or 327.5 miles. Quite an amazing achievement in 1903! This genuine and original Gordon Bennett Award Travelling and Motoring Vanity Case is a very attractive Racing Purple in colour, with nickel plated fittings. The interior holds a vanity mirror, hairbrush, scissors, clothes brush, glass bodied tooth brush holder, a comb, and other items, all fitted within their holding provisions for travelling safely. The Travelling Vanity and Motoring Case measures approximately 9.00 inches (22.50 cms) wide, approximately 6.60 inches (16.70 cms) deep, and approximately 2.65 inches (7.00 cms) tall.

The original purple Carry Handle is located to the opening lid, above the very detailed Gordon Bennett 1903 (dated) Trophy Road Race emblem. A Unique and obviously unrepeatable of very early veteran period motor racing automobilia, offered in very good original and usable condition throughout... Surely the centrepiece in anyone's Collection. One for the Serous and Advanced Collector.

An important piece of Irish Motor Racing History from the Dawn of Motoring...... Ex Motor Museum Exhibit in the 1960s, and shown again in another famous Motor Museum back in the early 1970s. Thank you for your interest.
