Bradshaw's Handbook for Tourists, Great Britain & Ireland, with Maps, Town Plans, and Steel Engraved Illustrations, in Four Sections in which are added The Official Tourist and Summer Arrangements of the Most Important Railways of England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales. A genuine original, antique (not a reproduction) single volume, Section 4, Bradshaw Guide to Ireland and Scotland. The railway information at the back is dated "London Bridge Station, 1886" so it is safe to assume that this volume was published in 1887. These Bradshaws are scarce and very ephemeral, and this example is not in a bad condition.
Complete with fold-out maps, including town plans of Dublin, Glasgow and Edinburgh, and engraved views. Nearly 50 pages of railway information at the back. Please see my other items.Size: the covers measure approx. 16.5cms x 12.5cms. 118 pages, plus 46 pages railway, etc.
Condition: Covers with wear (especially the spine) as seen in my photos, but all holding together well. Inside generally clean, the rear pages of train information slightly browned. Some of the fold-out maps with small tears. A good copy of a very ephemeral handbook.
