Antique IRISH CATHOLIC Rare ANCIENT ORDER HIBERNIANS PLAQUE 1890 LUCKY HORSESHOE

  

Very Rare Antique circa 1890's Symbolic Cast Iron Plaque from the Irish Catholic Ancient Order of Hibernians. A great memento from the history of Irish immigration to America. AOH Plaques of this time period are extremely hard to come by. Within the Lucky Horseshoe are the Irish Lyre Harp between two Four Leaf Clovers. It symbolizes Faith, Hope, Love and Luck.

At the bottom is the handshake of Brotherhood. On top, a Proud and Triumphant Eagle Spreads its Wings.

This Wonderful Plaque also represents The Luck of the Irish. It is in very solid and complete condition with only expected common minor age wear. As a genuine antique of over 100 years old, the only wear is to the golden surface color, which is easily retouched with color if desired.
