A refurbished and previously smoked 1988 Ashton (Bill "Ashton" Taylor Era) XXX Brindle Pot shape, with original Cumberland Stem. Actual year of production is 1988 first five years of production. Pipe is in great condition, ready to give a lifetime of enjoyment in smoking. He was soon granted a patent for making pipes 15% lighter by heating and oil curing and giving his pipes a distinctive "nutty" flavor. The briar of this Brindle XXX pipe is a deep red/brown stained, evenly carved and sand blasted to a 360° ring grain rustic finish from Tuscany Briar.
The pipe wears the original Cumberland Stem, with the Ashton briar dot, which is in great condition as is the pipe. It was fully reamed and sanitized to make the it ready to smoke as soon as you receive it. And the pipe was lightly polished. The pipe draws well and will smoke perfectly, and is ready for a lifetime of enjoyment.
