Rare Authentic Original Real Sepia Photo of April 1928 St Louis Tickertape Parade for German Pilots Hermann Köhl and Ehrenfried Günther Freiherr von Hünefeld together with their Irish co-pilot James Fitzmaurice for succeeding in crossing the Atlantic from east to west in an airplane. 36 hours after their take off in Baldonnel, Ireland, they landed with their Junkers W33 aircraft called'Bremen' on Canada's Greenly Island. This is the first time this photo has been made available to the public. Authentication Documents Included with Order.

It shows the Flyers on Washington Ave. Between 7th and 8th streets. Copies of St Louis Globe-Democrat newspaper coverage of the Flyers arrival in St. This original photo has been out of the public domain until now.

On April 13, 1928, German pilots Hermann Köhl and Ehrenfried Günther Freiherr von Hünefeld together with their Irish co-pilot James Fitzmaurice succeeded in crossing the Atlantic from east to west in an airplane. American entry into WWI led Froelich to put his talents and skills to wartime use. After the War, Froelich worked as a beat photographer for St.

Louis newspapers, including the St. Louis Globe-Democrat, and the St. He eventually managed the photography team which gave him access to a wide range of subject matter and the ability to experiment with action photography and the evolution of color techniques.
