An interesting collection of 21 original CDVs and CDV-sized albumen photographic portraits of well-to-do gentlemen, from an Anglo-Irish album, c1860s. A total of 21 original CDVs and CDV-sized albumen photographs, laid on photographer's card and with card borders trimmed up around the edges (no loss to photos except in a couple of cases where the corners have been artistically clipped). Clipped from a vintage album. Backed with album paper, so versos of cards not visible.

Undated but circa 1860s (possibly a handful from the 1870s). Extracted from an Anglo-Irish album containing photographs from this period. MS or typed captions with sitter's name beneath. Some with crests on mounts above.

Photographs displaying a variety of tones, many good and a few with some fading or spotting. Provenance: From the Anglo-Irish photograph album of Elizabeth Alexander Shaw, daughter of William John Alexander-Shaw. Gallery images are of the actual item and show general condition.
